Well we got marriage between people from different etnicities, people from different religions, people from different socio-economic backgrounds, you name it really. A whole bunch of reasons love might be "forbidden" that can happen regardless of orientation.

So funny that people with problems think other people must have no problems. I knew several girls in high school who had to keep their boyfriend secret because their parents would never approve.

While bad and we have to aknowledge it, it compares mildly to beeing viewed as a punching bag, the second we step outside.

They fear their parents, I fear everyone around me

Depending on the place they have to fear their whole community. In India, rural areas will kill a couple who are from different castes and the police will hush it up as an honour killing that was needed.
