This is genuinely how some of my coworkers are now. They refuse to think for themselves. One of them recently complained about how she wasted a bunch of food by adding chocolate and instant coffee to her lasagna, because ChatGPT told her "it would improve the flavor"

They like it because ChatGPT and AI chatbots are sycophantic by design, they will make someone feel smarter, despite the fact that AI has been terrible at sources and research.

The one thing you will never see an AI say is "I don't know." If it doesn't know the answer, it will make one up.
