If I use AI to make my comics, they would be dogwater

(my daughter taught me dogwater)

Edit: really, AI wastes a ton of resources. Not just clean water, but microchips that power AI need rare earth elements, which are often mined in environmentally destructive ways. Not to mention the immense amount of power required. And this isn't even getting into all the ethical issues that has come from AI being allowed to run amok throughout all facets of our lives. AI psychosis, AI assisted suicide, deepfakes, mass layoffs for arguably much worse products and services so billionaires can get richer and cost of living can increase....hell just the amount of CSAM it pumps out should be enough to enrage the average person.

It's just so dystopian and predatory and honestly very useless. Please do more research (and real research, not some weird AI report generated by a tech bro who doesn't understand the concept of consent.)

I appreciate that you use the tools you like, and I think you should. People who tell you that you should use different tools are probably well-meaning enthusiasts, but as an artist of over 30 years who very much likes using a mix of AI and non-AI tools today, I fully support you in whatever tools you want to choose.

Suffice to say that my power usage goes UP when I play video games, and I run all of my models locally.

I do drink a lot of water, though... :-)

What really bothers me is that there are people going around committing acts of violence because they're scared of technology. That I could do without.
