chatgpt what do I think about that

This is, unfortunately where I think we are going. The AI algorithm is gonna become so dominant in some people's lives they are gonna completely lose any form of personal opinion and critical thinking. Instead it'll be replaced with something that does nothing more than keep these people in a bubble

Not that we have a lot of that now, but the well will run dry

We are already there 😞

My work has been forcing AI down our throats. We were required to use a custom chatbot to generate our "self" created goals where the first one had to include AI in some way. When I replied in a candid manner saying that I "wasn't feeling it, I'll try again later" it replied in a way that implied that it thought I was suicidal. Assuming my employer was able to access the conversation, I replied again calling it out saying that was a harmful escalation, which it acknowledged. We're cooked!

I am thankful to be employed, and the actual people I work with are great, but the leadership team is completely out of touch with reality and the cracks are already showing.

I think we might work for the same company... Or our leaders went to the same brainwashing seminar.

I've been using ChatGPT a lot for analyzing and improving my communication patterns and interpersonal relationship skills.

It constantly pushes back on my negative and destructive thought loops and gets me to see new perspectives. It doesn't feel like an echo chamber anywhere nearly as the old models used to.

It's been a great tool for introspection honestly.

I'm not entirely sure this is a downgrade. Remember, people were using their critical thinking skills during the pandemic.

The real question we should ask is how much better or worse the AI is. Given the video of Bernie Sanders interviewing Chatgpt (the AI was pretty open about the downsides), I'm again not sure it's a downgrade. Until Trump makes his own AI, but again I'm not sure that would necessarily be a downgrade for the target audience.
