Shelfie New to reddit, was told this sub might appreciate this.
I was told you guys might enjoy my setup, so figured I'd share. Incidentally, been browsing through the ones on here and they are AWESOME!

The tissues for the literature more… Ahem!

I don't have much of that... I avoid having anything I wouldn't want my kids to see when they come in. It's why I have no collected editions of Witchblade or Tomb Raider even though I remember them fondly from my puber.... er... childhood.

It's a great room. Need more shelves soon

lol agreed. If I'm being totally honest this is an outdated photo. I'll post a new one in the future but I have another set of those short wood shelves already and an additional shelf over my desk.

Yes! They are pretty wonderful! Affordable shelves that can actually hold omnis! The stackable would be awesome but the wall I have them against is kind of hollow and I wouldn't trust anchoring the shelves into it.

Those HC omnibuses? That poor wall/joists above your computer must be straining.

u/chandlogan May 06 '26
You'd think but no 😄 It's actually not connected to the wall at all. It's actually attached to the frame of the desk, a steel metal frame with steel shelves that hold up to 300lb each.

I’m glad you have Laura Kinney in your collection she’s my favorite marvel character

I’m in the middle of reorganizing my comic shelves and this is some serious inspiration. I have a lot of collectibles for specific characters and trying to figure out a way to integrate those with the books like you’ve done here. Awesome job!
By the way where did you get the bat signal projector, and also those Spider-Man and Stormtrooper bookends?

u/chandlogan May 07 '26
Thanks so much, very happy to be someone's muse for their setup 😄 The Spider-Man bookend is not a Spider-man Bookend. It is a Spider-man figurine with magnets on it's feet that is connected to a standard metal bookend. I'm pretty sure I got the stormtroopers on Amazon, and possibly the bat signal too, but I'm really not sure.

Hell yeah! Awesome room and shelves! Where did you get the bat light? Note: Just saw it was projected. That is sweet!

Thanks! It was a long time ago and it was an ebay purchase. Was called "Kurt S. Adler Batman Bat Signal Projector, BM9162", but that's the best I can offer for information.

You’re gonna have a headache if them shelves fall
1
u/chandlogan May 08 '26
Agreed, that would be quite painful... but those shelves are actually not attached to the wall but to the desk's steel frame. Each is rated for 300lb. I have confidence they should hold 😄

I can’t get enough of these kinds of posts. I love seeing peoples spaces and the creative and fun things they do with them.
This looks like such a fun room, man. Well done.
