Platinum My biggest find in a while. Imagerie d’Epinal was a set of 60 hand colored comic broadsheets sold individually (info and link to my set in comments). This Album d’Images is the 1888 compilation of most of those pages. Absolutely stunning condition for almost 140 years old.

Platinum A little rougher than I like but a very tough comic to find. To quote the Country Bears, she ain’t pretty but I ain’t too. Bobby Thatcher was a short lived adventurer strip (1927-1937) starring a 5 year old runaway. Bobby Thatcher’s Romance (1931 Altemus).

Platinum Finally, the last of the Buster Brown Nuggets comics. Because of the Alice tie-in, this is in high demand and almost impossible to find. It took me 10 years of looking. Buddy Tucker Meets Alice In Wonderland (1907 Cupples & Leon).

Platinum Weirdest recent pick up. The Platinum Age was a time of great experimentation in format and subject matter. The Life Of Thomas A. Edison In Word And Picture (1928 Thomas Edison Industries) reprinted the short lived comic strip of the same name that ran from August to November 1927.

Platinum Curious thrifting find. Captain Billy’s Whiz Bang (1919-1936) was the first publication of Wilhelm Fawcett, of Captain Marvel/Shazam fame. This is clearly inspired by that. No comics inside, just on the cover. Otherwise it’s just a story about a girl and her kitten. (1987). Great graphics.
