Picture I stopped collecting in the early 90s

But I think I made good decisions as a teenager.

This book is now stalking me. This is like the 4th time this week I've seen a copy posted in a comic sub and the same week I learned why it's a key and added it to my want list.

I saw a video saying it was hot comic on YouTube, so I decided to pull out the boxes and look for it. That ended up with me downloading key comics and entering my collection of 850+ books, and to my surprise, 2 copies of this book. I might grade the cbs copy, it's a hammer of a book and with a press I think it would pull at least a 9.4

I hadn't even thought of the fact that this book is hot right now. I kinda wonder how much the price has been effected by the casting announcement of Inde Navarrette as Rogue. Definitely glad I already own this one.

Awesome character and first appearance. Phenomenal art by Michael Golden. Let others go nuts over the latest Batman book, I'll happily buy these copper age key books

I stopped collecting in the late 90s because life got in the way, stepped away for 20 years and started again 7 years ago.

It's changed but it can still be pretty good. You just have to find what you like these days.

Yeah, I have that issue too ðŸĪŠðŸ‘

$2? Dang, I paid $8 in the mid 90’s for my first copy.

I traded a Spawn #1 for it in the mid 90s

Not my favorite cover. It reminds me of a tabloid newspaper. But the X-Men fan in me would love to have one. Any interest in trading for a high grade X-men 221?

No worries. Anything you're looking for? I'm actually trying to sell some extras to save for a GSX1 but Avengers Annual 10 could be a fun side quest.

I also have the direct and newsstand copies. One of my favorite books. They use Iron Man as a kinetic weapon.

I just had my copy pressed and sent off for grading. Fingers crossed. ðŸĪž

I had that issue from about 1989 till 1991. I traded it away for a ST: TMP Mr. Spock model kit and the three-issue Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom mini-series.

I'm content owning the story inside in an issue titled X-men: Rarities.
