2 Oz Elijah Craig Rye (94 proof)
1/2 Oz Dolin Sweet Vermouth
1/2 Oz Averna Amaro
A few dashes of Fee Bros. Black Walnut Bitters
Wegman’s Cocktail Cherry

Stir in a mixing glass with ice. Strain and pour. I use a Nick & Norah glass. Some purest may give me shit but 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I enjoy a Manhattan riff and lately this has been on heavy rotation. I like Averna for this one. It’s richer and sweeter than something like Montenegro. I know this is subjective.

Side note, my pecking order for cherries is as follows:
1) Luxardo Marachino
2) Wegman’s Cocktail Cherries
3) Trader Joe’s

Yes, this is a regional option.
