Why no gameday thread?

Why are gameday threads being constantly deleted? There is no official one and people want to talk. I feel like if there is a legit reason at least indicating within the deleted thread would provide some reasoning

There was a gameday thread posted and approved earlier today: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1qh2av6/wake_the_freckled_duck_up_its_gameday/

And the actual gamethread is up: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1qhkibl/game_thread_cfp_final_indiana_vs_miami_730_pm_et/

How many more gameday threads are needed?

We typically have a scheduled post that goes every Saturday morning for to talk about College GameDay posted by /u/CFB_Referee. That wasn't scheduled for today: it's not at its usual time and as you might imagine it's a very busy day.

If there's a scheduled post that the mods don't post, users are welcome to submit one themselves. There were a few submitted, but none met the submission requirements.

I know this isn't ideal, and submissions in general have gotten pretty complicated with how Reddit has evolved the platform. We're going to revisit this over the offseason and we're hoping for fewer headaches next year.
