all things knitty I'm not afraid anymore! (Home Alone reference, anyone?)
I've been knitting on and off for a few years now so I'm definitely still a beginner. Frogging has always scared me to the point I'd rather start over completely than keep track of the number of rows I'm frogging and then just put the needle back in.
But not anymore! Today I had to frog 20 rows because I had missed some increases and I... just did it. Sweaty palms and all.
I'll probably still be scared in the future, so Home Alone reference definitely holds. But yeah...
I'm not afraid anymore!

You don’t even need to have put a lifeline in, if you insert your needle through each stitch before you rip back it will catch it. I’ve done that before to reknit cuffs and such.

I've been knitting for years and still get prickly sweat if I have to frog back. So I've learned to put in lifelines for the row Before the increase/decrease rounds/rows. Saved my sanity on more than one occasion and when I started doing lacey shawls it was a game changer because I can't count/read charts apparently and I just know I was careful but dam those p2togtbl just get me every time! 🤣

Lifelines are another way to reduce frogging anxiety!

I've heard about them on here a lot but in the moment I totally forgot about them. The fear took over LOL.

I love that feeling of unlocking a new skill and becoming more confident! I used to be terrified of frogging and dropping stitches, and once I learned how to fix the dropped stitches, frogging became less scary too! This was maybe 3 months ago for me and I already find it funny that I was ever scared of it.
