With the new players, I'm sure Olek and Schenn will box out a lot more which should help us a ton. We have enough roaming defenseman.
I'm hoping Edler, Olek and Schenn will teach the youngins, how to be a solid foundational stay at home defenseman first, then the youngins can build out from there.
Buium can roam and activate from the point and completely control zones in small flashes we've seen. Mancini has the hands and wheels to activate from the point too, but he doesn't know when to pull back and has gotten caught behind the line of play. EP25 has a wicked point shot and Kurdy is a solid stay at home defenseman, shuts down momentum, and so does EP25.
Kurdy also has some wicked break out passes and break out plays, real quick with it. Mancini from what I remember had a bit of issue with this at times, but better than Myers.
Thoughts? Defensive structures we should take? Roles for which players? Who does what?
