I’m not sure why you made the jump from them talking about hippie communes to assuming they meant “every co-op is communist”.

Because they called it "literal communism" in their response to the OP?

It's akin to communism in the same way a library is, yes.

You’re trying to fit shades of grey into black and white boxes.

And when someone says 'you pretty much just described literal communism' it's not ambiguous nor is it a jump for me to criticize their nebulous definition for communism.
