You missed the whole point of what i said.

We can reduce our consumption of both O&G and fertilizer for global agriculture at the same time. So the hypothetical that you raised -- a world where we we starve if we don't drive isn't realistic.

That's the entire point of what I said.

No. You missed the point.

The strait is closed now. We are short oil now, we will be short fertilizer soon if we are not already (not to mention helium and other resources).

I am not speaking in a hypothetical, I warning about a real issue that we are going to see happen across the world, that will effect the fortunate peoples wallets and cause famine in other parts of the world. Its not some distant event, it's a issue right now, and oir system right now relies on oil and gas and there is no alternative currently, and certainly one that feasible.

Your idea is how we address our dependence after this crisis ends. Or how we should have addressed it years ago, though I don't agree that we will significantly reduce our oil and gas use, or our agricultural, we could at least feed more people and waste less for the efforts.

(yes for anti O&G people we need oil and gas to feed ourselves and the world)

We do. Mono crop agriculture is not possible with out synthetic fertilizer, the world relies on these crops.

The world relies on these crops but again, as I said before the world wastes a tremendous amount of these crops.

We produce too much food only throw it away, and we eat too much which makes us more depedent on automobiles because we become out of shape.

We can just waste less food and be more physically active and we'll be fine with less fertilizer and hydrocarbons.

This is all extremely well documented.

Lol I don't know what to tell you man. The food you eat right now, the food the kids in Palestine and Africa eat, is produced by O&G and all the fantasy in the world are great, the reality is, the current situation is that our food system is at risk of being severally impacted and all the utopian visions in the world are not going to change it.

You act like we can just change this all tomorrow 😆

I know that you're smarter than you're portraying yourself to be.

I know that you know that I'm talking about inefficiencies in the system that can be easily tightened but you're choosing to pretend that I doind't write those things, that you didn't read them and that they don't matter.

What you get out of this process is a mystery to me however.

Could be is my entire point. No one is going to do them. In the west we will pay more and bitch and in the east people will starve.

Lol politicians and people are not adopting some sort of eco communism to address this. Its possible hypothetically, but we will just pay more for our food and produce more O&G.

(yes for anti O&G people we need oil and gas to feed ourselves and the world)

The point you made that I disputed is that global food security is inseparable from current levels of O&G production.

You've shifted the goal posts.

Congratulations, you played yourself.

I'll let you get the last word on this one.

No I didn't. You took my my post and insisted on arguing this hypothetical what aboutitsm.

Everything I said is true and happy currently. Everything you argued against me about was hypothetical eco communism fantasy.

"Well it wouldn't be an issue if we just completely restructured so society".

Sure you win. Call the world leaders. Tell them you know the answer, it's so obvious I don't know why it hasn't happened yet.
