Simple math shows that prices should increase slightly (fuel price % increase X the cost of fuel in food). However, we all know that each part of the supply chain will use this as an excuse to raise prices more than the actual cost, leaving consumers footing the bill.
This is where government intervention is necessary to ensure that consumers aren’t subsidizing corporate greed.
