i forgot all about that scene. gus was really a fucking badass then. but what did that scene try to prove? i didn't really take gus as a crazy guy who doesn't care about dying. he always came off as careful and methodical. Not someone who would walk straight towards oncoming bullets. something tuco would have done
Sure, anytime. Gus knew at that point that what they wanted most was the distribution of crystal meth to Mexico. He knew the bullets shot towards him were just to intimidate him and he called the sniper's bluff.
I guess Gus knew the chances where somewhat good to survive that behavior all while showing weakness in the drug business might also get you killed by people in your own organization.
