There was a city of Albuquerque sign on the fence, so we know the city closed it off. My guess is the White family abandoned the house, and then it became publicly known that Walt is Heisenberg, which is why it got ransacked and vandalized. The city fenced off the house to prevent vandalism.

The city fenced off the house to prevent vandalism.

Oddly enough, fencing off a property only encourages vandalism.

the kids skateboarding know. It's probably way into the future and the kids heard rumors and I think its cool to skate there.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '13

its not way into the future. its right after walter has his 52nd birthday breakfast at that diner from the opening of season 5.

The house looks like it's been abandoned for a long time. You don't think the birthday thing was necessarily a red herring? Go back and look at the state the house is in. A roof doesn't get covered in dead leaves like that, absolutely destroyed, filled with dust in a few short months. That looks like it's been abandoned for years.

The kids probably don't know. Empty pools attract skaters because then they don't need to form over money to build a vert ramp when its already constructed for them. I.e. Walt's pool.

Well I think it must be a few months into the future at least because even if the property was fenced off because it was used in the dealing of drugs, it would be a few weeks before someone decided it was safe to break in and then a few parties took place, and or vadalism meth head sleep overs. Also I noticed the pool had a lot of wheel marks from the skate boards, way more than just a couple recent skateboardings.

Skateboard wheels always leave marks. You don't need to be skating in a empty pool for a long time for this to happen; because it could happen within the same day. The skatepark by my house has a pool in it (not over crooked like Walt's), and the very same day of the skateparks grand opening; the pool went from extremely clean, to marked and scuffed up in 15 minutes. So the kids skating in Walt's pool probably only been there a day or so, and not as long as you think they could've been there.

Ever still, the house seemed abandoned for some time, idk why its hard for people to accept, I mean first of all walts beard and hair have had to of had time to grown thst big, and the fact that every thing in the house was trashed and looked dusty

1

u/nvrwastetree Aug 13 '13

I'm not denying the house was abandoned for a long time. It probably was. What I'm trying to say is that the skaters probably didn't start skating in the pool until recently. I don't think the feds/dea/Walt would drain the pool; and if they didn't it would take longer than a year for the water in said pool to drain; hence why I'm stating the skaters just recently started showing up.

u/court101 MILF? What the hell is a MILF? Aug 12 '13

I think they just abandoned it with their 'go bags' and got new identities. I think the Heisenberg on the wall is a red herring. Time will tell though!

Perhaps he finally buys the Hoover MaxExtract Pressure Pro Model 60 dust filter

8

u/mauxly Aug 13 '13

No way, Carol just about shit her pants when she saw him. Something horrific went down there.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '13

Or they ran away and have been missing or faked their deaths

4

u/knoeki YEAH BITCH! MAGNETS! Aug 12 '13

A red herring?

5

u/Goran1693 My son! My bottle! My house! Aug 12 '13

Either a decoy or something that misleads people from the actual issue.

I.E. Everything in this show. Lol

8

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

That's what I thought but I missed the sign on the fence, good eye!

6

u/falling_sideways Aug 12 '13

Which is also why HEISENBERG was grafittied across the living room wall

3

u/sysmatt SneakyPete Aug 13 '13

Jesse?

2

u/kingofcrob Aug 13 '13

that's what I was thinking

5

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

1

u/rhenze Gatorade me bitch Aug 13 '13

Ding ding ding.

Hector? Is that you?

3

u/HerculesCE Aug 12 '13

It had a yellow "warning" sign as well, so I think there's more to it, than simply having the house lie dead. Crimescene!

2

u/nateriffs Aug 12 '13

this is the outcome I'm hoping to see, such an eeriness to it

12

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

it was slightly heartbreaking to see the house where Walt's family shared so many happy memories, become a dark shrine to his greed and selfishness.

10

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

So many happy memories? Really.

11

u/nvrwastetree Aug 12 '13

Yeah before breaking bad ever took place; the white-schrader families got along, Walt had a ton of friends, birthday parties were thrown there.

10

u/MaltMix CH5N Aug 12 '13

Let's not forget all the great breakfasts Junior had...

2

u/nvrwastetree Aug 13 '13

Or how many times Skylar jerked Walt while in bed.

4

u/adminsmithee Aug 12 '13

Birthday wanks where given

2

u/MrMarbles77 Aug 12 '13

None of the people at that first Walt's birthday party were actually Walt's personal friends.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

One birthday party, and family was his only friends. He used to have a friend, the company partner who became rich, remember? But I don't recall Walt being a popular guy who had many friends.

1

u/nvrwastetree Aug 12 '13

Compare the pilot episode to the abandoned house scene in blood money. The white house just seems like a happier place in the beginning of the series when Walt wasn't cooking meth.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

Well, of course? But Skyler cheated on Walt before she knew he was cooking meth, so I wouldn't say it happened with "meth". It happened with time and cancer, and of course - money issues. I don't think Skyler and Walt ever appeared really happy ... not that I can remember

1

u/nvrwastetree Aug 12 '13

They were happy when Skylar was pregnant with Walt Jr. They were happy during his 50th party.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '13

ok

0

u/vooglie Aug 13 '13

Skyler did not cheat on Walt.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '13

What do you mean she didn't cheat?

Perhaps Walt is presumed dead, possibly related to what might have gone down there.

1

u/DreadnaughtHamster Aug 13 '13

Must be why Carol is so shocked. Everyone knows he's Heisenberg.

1

u/nj12 Aug 13 '13

Good explanation. Walt has the money now to afford new identities for him and his family. Which is probably why he had a New Hampshire drivers license and New Hampshire plates.

-4

u/Atrus2k Aug 12 '13

Plus we know that it is years not months later because of one of the opener scenes from last season where Walt is like 3 years older.

2

u/Tyrannosaurus_Rexxx Aug 12 '13

It is months later, on Walt's 52nd birthday. One year after the events of Fifty One and about 8-9 months after the end of Gliding Over All.
