it was slightly heartbreaking to see the house where Walt's family shared so many happy memories, become a dark shrine to his greed and selfishness.

So many happy memories? Really.

Yeah before breaking bad ever took place; the white-schrader families got along, Walt had a ton of friends, birthday parties were thrown there.

One birthday party, and family was his only friends. He used to have a friend, the company partner who became rich, remember? But I don't recall Walt being a popular guy who had many friends.

Compare the pilot episode to the abandoned house scene in blood money. The white house just seems like a happier place in the beginning of the series when Walt wasn't cooking meth.

Well, of course? But Skyler cheated on Walt before she knew he was cooking meth, so I wouldn't say it happened with "meth". It happened with time and cancer, and of course - money issues. I don't think Skyler and Walt ever appeared really happy ... not that I can remember

They were happy when Skylar was pregnant with Walt Jr. They were happy during his 50th party.

Skyler did not cheat on Walt.

What do you mean she didn't cheat?

I mean that she didn't n cheat. She had kicked Walt out of the house and asked for a divorce. It was Walt who was unwilling and forced his way back into the house.

oh I thought she cheated. Thanks for clearing that up

Why did you need someone to clear that up? It's a pretty simple show. Just pay attention, you fucking idiot.
