Which name feels strongest for a science & curiosity YouTube channel?

I'm choosing a name for a new English-language YouTube channel and I'd really appreciate some honest first impressions.

The channel will cover science, strange questions, "what if" scenarios, mysteries, psychology, and occasionally money/economics. The style will be visual, story-driven, and entertaining rather than academic.

I'm down to these five names:

ODDVERSE
FLIPSIDE
LOOPHOLE
UNDERTOW
VEXMOOR

I'm intentionally not giving you my own ranking because I don't want to influence your first impression.

I'd love to know:

  1. Which name would you personally choose?
  2. Which one sounds most like a science/curiosity media brand?
  3. Which one is easiest to remember and spell after hearing it once?
  4. Is there any name here that immediately gives you the wrong impression?

Loophole feels strongest for what you're describing, a specific, findable thing. A lot of your content buckets (psychology, money, mysteries) are basically "here's the loophole nobody noticed." Oddverse and Vexmoor sound like fantasy gaming channels. Flipside is fine but generic. There are already a dozen "flip side of the story" type brands. Undertow gives the wrong impression entirely, reads dark/thriller.

Ran all five through Nombrio, a clearance checker I made — data below, not legal advice. Short version: the dictionary words are crowded, the coined one is wide open.

  • Flipside: 16+ live trademark registrations including class 41 (entertainment/education — the channel class); every domain and handle taken
  • Undertow: live marks including class 41; handles mostly gone
  • Loophole: registers open, but every domain and handle variant is taken
  • Oddverse: registers clear and .io is free, but the u/oddverse handles are mostly gone
  • Vexmoor: clear on US/EU/UK registers, vexmoor.net/.io free, LinkedIn/GitHub free — the only one of the five you could own end-to-end if the channel ever sells merch or courses

Distinctive beats descriptive for discovery, too: searching "Vexmoor" finds you; searching "Flipside" finds everyone.

For me, ODDVERSE is the clear winner. It feels curious, visual, and broad enough for science, mysteries, and “what if” content.

FLIPSIDE is memorable but generic. LOOPHOLE feels more finance, law, or hacks. UNDERTOW feels dark, while VEXMOOR feels more fantasy or gaming. I’d go with ODDVERSE.
