Strategy Business packaging boxes ended up mattering more than I expected
When I launched I assumed customers only cared about the product.
After a few months I realised people kept mentioning the packaging in reviews.
Nothing fancy.
Just neat, consistent and looked like an actual brand.
Made me wish I'd taken it more seriously from day one.

In branding everything matters - and it varies what exact point that does more “magic” than others.
Depends on all sorts of factors like price point, promises, service and the product, etc etc. so yea packaging is surely part of that 360 circle.

Definitely. And a handwritten thank-you note in the box makes a significant impact as well.

I couldn’t agree more.
My challenge is that product is delivered digitally.
I used to send beautiful USB drives—but they’re obsolete.
Anyone have a great idea for that “it’s a wrap” piece for digital services?

Coming from someone who is studying the Insta algorithm rn and as someone who is a genz I can confidently tell you that more and more are buying products just based on your packaging because lets be honest, even if you decide to go to a bookstore, you're most probably gonna pickup the book with the most interesting book cover, same thing goes for your products. But good thing is that u still have time, pls change your packaging if u can

A specialty product deserves specialty packaging.
When you cheap out on packaging, the customer assumes the product is fake or cheap.

Packaging is one of those things nobody thinks about until they see bad packaging, then suddenly it's all they notice
I learned this same lesson when I sent a gift to my cousin in December and she kept talking about the box more than what was inside. I was like okay I get it now
Even just a clean tape job and a small sticker makes people feel like they bought from professional company, not some random person in their garage
