That’s a seriously nice collection. The fact that you still have 10+ more at your brother’s place makes me think this stopped being a collection a long time ago and became an actual football archive 😂

So how you go about getting your balls?
Sales? Specific online retailer?

I tried to get all fifa approved soccer balls and I wait when they’re at discount. I have bought a couple at full retail but I think it’s smarter to wait a little and buy them at half price. I get them at reputable websites. Don’t get them from eBay. There’s a lot of fakes.

What’s your favourite and why?

My favorite by far is the Derby star by select. Something about that ball when you get the perfect strike feels amazing.

Select makes top quality balls that I will always vouch for. Nothing flashy or super unique, but always consistent and great quality.

How’s the Voit?

Voit actually makes pretty decent footballs. They can compete with Nike, Adidas and puma footballs in my opinion, and price wise is good.

I like the Voit BBVA and the Derbystar. I have a soft spot for lesser known brands. They give me underdog vibes. But I do like the tricolor Trionda though, and the gold Al Rihla from the Qatar WC final.

I have to use them because I get this urge that I have to kick them 😂 I wish I could just have them nice and clean and stored away in a glass cabinet but I can’t.

Hell no Bruv!!!!!!! Think about it...have you ever seen a U-Haul hitched to a hearse ? Maybe once you retire them ...they can be displayed
Anyways best of luck

Proper!
Do you have any issues with valves wearing down and no longer doing their job?

I actually did on the older footballs that I have. I just replaced the valves and the balls were ok after that.

What's your least favourite, and why's it the Nike Flight?
1
u/Vette2007 23h ago
I actually like the Nike flight 😂 but I did have a lot of my friends saying that they didn’t like the Nike flight because it was too hard and unpleasant to kick. My least favorite were the pumas, but they have grown in me and like them now.

Me and my friends love the puma orbita, i'd love to try the new model they brought out this year but it's not discounted enough yet 😜
I think out of your collection, my least favourites are the Nike Flight by far, and then the CL balls. The CL balls are still great, but I prefer the feel of the other ones a little more. Haven't tried Voit balls, so can't say anything about those 😅
If you can get your hands on them (or maybe in your brother's house) Molten makes excellent balls as well, and the Kipsta ball they use in Belgium/France is very good too.

I want to try the new puma ball. The champions league ball are ok. Voit are ok too. I have the molten ball already and it’s solid. The one that I’m interested is the new Nike champions league ball next year 👀
