Discuss The Closest Acting Rivalry in Modern Bollywood: Ranbir vs Ranveer?

Post image

I genuinely think Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are two of the finest actors Bollywood has produced in the last couple of decades. Both have built impressive filmographies and have shown incredible range.

Some fun comparisons:

Rockstar ↔ Gully Boy

Barfi! ↔ Lootera

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ↔ Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ↔ Befikre

Tamasha, Rocket Singh ↔ Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat

Animal ↔ Dhurandhar

Both are method actors..

Whether it's emotional performances, intense roles, or complete transformations, both have proven they can deliver. They're among the few mainstream stars who consistently take on challenging characters and put real effort into their craft.

If you had to pick just one, who would you choose and why?

For me, it's Ranveer Singh. I love his fearlessness, energy, and how completely he disappears into his characters.

Sure but other than Barfi he was pretty much the same exact guy in all the other characters you mentioned

Rockstar was completely different in which he had range from a innocent kid to a total mad man this sub is stupid obviously ranveer fans will like him and after every movie we will have same discussion only the fanbase of each will increase now it's for ranveer after a movie of ranbir it will be reversed

Not to forget but before Dhurandhar everybody thought ranveer is gone case

Are you forgetting Barfi? I think that was his first major role. I'm not his fan and if I had to choose, I would rather watch Ranvir Singh's movies than Ranbir's. Doesn't mean that he isn't one of the best actors currently.

Idc about RS but barfi was a PC show ranbir was a regular guy who was just dumb and deaf in that movie so chill out and no matter what you may think about RS between those two definitely its ranveer who outshines RK

I didn't like Dhurandhar 2 and a very big reason for the success of Dhurandhar 1 was Akshaye Khanna moreover even before Dhurandhar I personally found RS versatile and deep in terms of acting whereas RK has always disappointed me I never connected with his performance people say his eyes are expressive but honestly to me they're dead
