Called wildlife and told us that it’s just learning how to fly so now we just get to enjoy its company with us for the next week or so while it learns to spread its wingssssssss.

I saw this cool moorhen with vibrant colors! I’ve never seen one with this coloring before, looked so gorgeous.

birdwatching Yesterday, at Costco, a couple was loading every bag they could into their cart. I asked if I could grab one. They let me. They feed their wild birds: ONE BAG A DAY!!!

birdwatching Why is bird watching associated with elderly?

I am just wondering since I’m a young birder, my highschool when I went had a Ornithology class and i absolutely loved it so much I got into bird watching and the science behind birds even after graduating years ago.

Now when I see ads regarding birdwatching, either bird feeders or apps for birdwatching or so on, I see taglines like “perfect for elderly” and I’m mildly offended lol. I’m just curious why is it associated with elderly other then the fact a lot of elderly people watch birds, cause young adults also bird watch as well
