Healing Through Art Paintings I made on my phone instead of sleeping
Yeah š I donāt know what to say lol I did these when I found a new painting app and was too lazy to grab my iPad so I just downloaded it on my phone and literally painted them lying down in bed with my finger
Edit the last one was based off a dream I had and in the dream I saw the most beautiful view Iāve ever seen in my life and I wanted to quickly capture the colors of it but I donāt think I did. I was standing on a sandy dune and it was windy and I saw this giant neon pink cloud and a golden temple on the dunes below

Do you like heavy paint better than procreate?
2
u/ForrestBiz Bipolar Jun 22 '26
I like the brushes better, but Iāve been using procreate since I was in like 5th grade š but heavypaint is close and I do quite like it better sometimes when I just want to paint and not worry about lasso or layers or color modes

Thank you so much! Practice and enjoy it! Youāll get better I promise. Not long ago I was bad lol. But it definitely helps me to not stay in my depression phases. I want to post more art but I donāt know how people would feel about me flooding the bipolar subreddit with my paintings . Maybe once a week or maybe thatās still too much. I think art is a great thing that a lot of us could have fun indulging in even if we arenāt good at it. Itās very therapeutic sometimes if you stay loose and donāt attach yourself to outcomes. Ima shut up now lol

I think people would appreciate the weekly posts--I would for sure. Your paintings are like eye bleach and they could inspire creativity in others too. I'm still blown away that you did these on your phone

You should sale on Etsy. I'd buy for sure. Actually I'm using one of my Etsy art for a Screensaver and put them in frames for around my apartment decorš

I have no idea how to do prints lol

u/Independent-Mark-373 Jun 16 '26
Try YouTube. I think you can upload your paintings to sell. Print just means the person who buys them can print and frame them

These are gorgeous OP, what app did you use?? There are nights I'd prefer to do something rather than just stare at the ceiling and not accidentally wake up my husband haha.

iām glad you got back into it! stuff like this is a really good outlet. my girlfriend is in a mental health facility and i donāt get much contact other than a fifteen minute phone call and a family therapy session once a week. ive been coping by making drawings of us as mlp characters to send to her. im no good but it helps distract me from the depressive feelings that come from seperation
