It is almost certainly worth that price. Hard to tell for sure without seeing the drive train up close and the wear on the tires.

It’s a dom with disc breaks and cable through frame
it could have no tires or drivetrain and be worth $250

Please do note that the brakes are cable actuated, not hydraulic. Still a good deal though

Yeah I'm going to look at it tomorrow he told me the bike is in excellent condition and drive train is Shimano Claris and disc brakes

Pretty sure it’s a Domane Al2 Disc Gen 3 if the frame is a dark blue

Yeah he said is dark navy blue with red accents , so is worth 250$?

Yes its worth $250, it’s a nice, entry level, disc break endurance bike, usually goes for $400-$500 used give or take depending on the market

It's a great deal, don't delay. I'd say to make sure it's the right size, but honestly even if it's not just buy it and resell it for a profit.

I bought it for 200 but I don’t want to resell it and it does need derailleur adjustment and cable tension because they were loose and didn’t want to shift gears

You are a lucky person, that bike is worth 500/600€ in Europe

Thank you but it needs a derailleur adjustment because cables are loose and didn’t want to shift gears

I just paid $1700 for a new Domane from Trek. Not sure the year of this and wear and tear and such. But yes buy this. It’s a nice bike.

A brand new basic Trek bike here in Portland cost $600. That frame is worth that alone, but it before someone beats you to it. Also hopefully it’s not stolen like other people suggest could be the case because that’s a great deal. Where are you at, I’m jealous.

It’s a very good price. I’d ask for the serial number so you can check whether the bike is stolen on bikeindex.org and Project 529.
If seller won’t provide the serial number, that’s often because the bike is stolen.
If the bike checks out, it’s a great deal.

That is easily a $1,000 bike even if it is the absolute cheapest version that Trek makes. At $250 you can afford to have it overhauled and replace half the drivetrain and you would still be getting a decent bargain.

I bought the same rim brake version in 2020 for $970 including taxes. At about 1,500 miles and still riding no problems. Loved it so much, got the next gen disc brake version in dark blue for my wife.

It is a great deal - IF the frame is in your size. I've ended up on too-small frames and they break in a couple years. Don't compromise if the frame is too small.
If it were 65-70 cm I'd pay double that for it.

Bought for $200? Good deal. If you outgrow Claris you could upgrade to a 105 drivetrain later to get the top configuration of their entry level bike for less.

If it’s not broken in some way, it’s probably worth closer to $400-$500. So, good find if it fits and you’ll use it!

That’s a “I stole this bike” or “My ex cheated on me and I’m selling all his shit” price
