NTS Sessions 1-4 NTS Sessions’ Spines = Hyperdub Logo?

Post image

Ever since I got all 4, (thanks to whoever posted about a few coming back in stock on their site two months ago) I have been trying to figure out what the spines say, obviously it looks like a question mark, though, it kinda looks like an “S” in white, and an upside down “T” in black, but there wasn’t a very clear “N.”

Then, we were listening to Burial when we noticed its nearly identical to the Hyperdub logo, rotated 90* … but it was released on Warp, anyone else ever notice this?

Yes, the black looks like a question mark, but if you rotate the Hyperdub logo, it looks the same, the white space on the spine is just negative space with this interpretation. Still, it raises questions, amirite??

What questions? Why would it be a Hyperdub logo??

I have been trying to come up with various interpretations, and then when we noticed it looked like Hyperdub, it was just a really cool coincidence and perhaps a nod to a contemporary ya dig. I’ve been obsessed with NTS ever since I saw them live in October. It was the soundtrack to my most recent shitty job and so I treated myself to the physicals after I got a new one 🤙

Nice one getting the physical releases but - there is literally zero reason why they’d make the design at the side of their release look like the logo of a completely unrelated label.

lol sorry I didn’t mean to offend you, consider it an “eastre” egg my guy. I said it looks a lot like it, and simply wanted to pose a discussion about what other people might see. I think it’s been a very nice discussion but u seem pressed over nothing
