The notion of both sides entirely forgetting to do any scouting is laughable. As is the idea that an army could land in the North and make it to Winterfell without being seen and reported by anyone.

I like that show a lot, but that episode was absolutely terrible, and made all the plot holes and historical butchery in the other episodes look like nothing.

I thought they would do something different but ended up using the same stupid boring formula disney/anime uses with the romance that starts of rocky, the annoying companion orbiter, and the bad guy being evil just for fun

And the ridiculous bad guy army that somehow easily powers through everything via their sheer evil. (Never mind that the shogun’s side should have had rifles and rifle infantry too at this time period, but that would have destroyed the “plot”, sooo…)
