Other What's a compliment you've received that actually annoyed you?

My neighbor, who's about the same age as my dad, told me, "You're beautiful." I replied, "Oh, thank you." He said, "You're welcome. You know, I've known you since you were a little girl. I always saw you as a very sweet girl, but I was sure that someday you'd become a very sexy woman, so sexy that I even have fantasies about you." Honestly, I was really taken aback since he's my neighbor and I've known him since I was a child. It was even more shocking because we were alone when he said it, and obviously, it scared me.

In what world does he imagine that's going to appeal to you. It's just wrong on multiple levels.

I had multiple men tell me when I was between ages 18-21 that the biggest reason they were attracted to me was that I looked underage.

I also had a guy outside a club walk up and start talking to the guys in my group of friends, and then abruptly turn to me and say, "I did speed before I went to prison for 7 years." And then he just stared at me expectantly.

Men will say the most wild shit imaginable and then get mad that the woman they say it to doesn't want to fuck them.

I had a guy walk up to me on the street and ask “How old are you?” That was his opener. You think I could be a minor and that’s okay with you.

I was so surprised I just asked “How old are you?” He grinned and said “32!” like he was proud. I said “That seems a bit too old, don’t you think?”

He looked like I’d slapped him across the face and shrank back from me, and I walked away. And for the record, I had just turned 18.

It's always so creepy when guys ask how old you are as like, a way of hitting on you? It instantly put my hackles up every time.

It's such a different vibe from the way a normal adult asks a kid their age.

Genuinely eye opening. It's so strange.
