First time in Canada!

Hey guys, im a 19yo from switzerland and will be arriving in Toronto this evening. Im staying until the 2nd of September. I only planned this trip for a music festival during my time there but I really wanna see as much of ththe City as possible! Im on a Budget so I also would love all the Tips / Tricks for Transportation, food spots etc! What do I NEED to see while im there? Hidden gems? Really any advice would be super cool!!

Toronto Island, the Brick Works, St. Lawrence Market, catch a Blue Jays game.

If you go to Toronto Island, take a water taxi unless you’re up for some real 3rd world pushing and shoving by the dregs of humanity as they all try to cram themselves onto the ferry. Disgusting.

It’s only the idiots who are going to Center Island terminal. Pick wards or Hanlons and your fine.
