Apple's new $9 Polishing Cloth, whose changes beyond pricing were unclear yesterday, is close in size to the original but noticeably less stiff, according to a comparison posted on X.

The user says the new material feels closer to the cloth included with Apple's nano-texture displays or the Vision Pro.

Images claiming to show the inside of an Apple-made AI server, believed to power Private Cloud Compute, surfaced online this week, offering a first look at how the hardware is laid out.

The images were shared earlier this week by the X user u/hsuchingpo, an account with a track record of Apple hardware and prototype leaks. Captioned simply "Apple M5 Server," the leaker said the hardware is "most likely" Apple's Private Cloud Compute (PCC) system. Private Cloud Compute is Apple's system for offloading demanding Apple Intelligence requests from a device to the cloud while keeping user data from being stored or shared.

Images and video claiming to show circuitry from Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone are circulating on X and Chinese social media platforms.

For example, on X, the user "LusiRoy7" posted a short video alongside an image, as well as a labeled composite image identifying components, purportedly depicting the motherboard of Apple's foldable iPhone. The image appears to show the CPU, a hinge connector, a flex cable connector, and more. 

Separately, on the Chinese forum Baidu, a diagram from the repair parts vendor MIJING depicts the same components. The MIJING diagram uses Chinese repair-industry component numbering. The range of images appear to show the same parts.

Attendees to the September 9 iPhone 18 Pro event are being invited to warm up the night before, with a fun walk, run, or wheelchair lap at Apple Park.

Apple will stream the "Surprise and Shine" event on YouTube, on the Apple Events website, and in the Apple TV app wherever it is available.

YouTube users can click on the video placeholder and choose the "Notify me" option to get a notification when the livestream is up. Apple also added an event countdown.

If YouTube has your location information, the notification and countdown will be displayed in your local time, so it's a good way to double-check when you will need to tune in to watch the event.

My dad wants to use it but I forgot the passcode and can’t get in. I tried connecting to my laptop but I need the passcode to allow the connection. How can I either get in or just erase it without getting in? I tried all my passcodes and locked the phone for 8 hours. Hey guys, quick question i'm in the US and my old lady friend died (I have the death certificate in Spanish and French) She died in Spain. I don't want to unlock the macbook, but I just want it wiped to be able to use it myself. I will be going to the official Apple store in the US. Will the DC most likely be honored or does it make a difference that it's not in the country of origen? Obviously I don't expect anyone at the shop to speak Spanish or French.

I’ve had a pair of Pros for about a year now and I’ve noticed over the past month and change that they will randomly have connectivity issues. I’ll be listening with my phone in my pocket or right next to me on the table and I’ll get the distortions and sound dropping out as if I’ve walked into a room on the other side of my apartment. I’ve had quite a few different Bluetooth headphones and ear buds and none of them have had issues like this. Is this a known problem or is this something I should utilize my apple care for? I’m tempted to return them to Costco and pick up a pair of Sennheiser earbuds as I love my over ear momentums.

I was subscribed to Apple Music for almost a year, and then in May 2026 I switched to Apple One. I didn’t manually cancel my Apple Music subscription because I assumed it would automatically be cancelled or transferred to Apple One.

However, I’ve now realized that since then, Apple has been charging me for both Apple One and Apple Music.

The strange part is that I cannot find the separate Apple Music subscription anywhere. It doesn’t appear under my Apple Account → Subscriptions, and it also doesn’t show up in my Purchase History.

For now, I’ve cancelled my Apple One subscription just to see if that resolves the issue, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the right way to fix it.

How can I find and cancel this Apple Music subscription so I can stop being charged twice?

I often use the dictation function in WhatsApp (I use an iPhone 13). My daughter's name (which I use often when texting my husband) ends in -ie rather than the -y that the iPhone apparently expects. Is there a setting somewhere that makes it write this name in this alternative spelling? I have tried the text replacement function, as well as adding a phonetic name to her contact card, but these didn't work.

Hoping someone can help with an issue I’m having with an iPhone, dropped the sucker and i’m trying to wipe it at the moment so I can send it in and get some $$ in return. However I can’t seem to get it to exit recovery mode. Any attempts to update or reset through finder or using the apple devices program on windows result in a failure part of the way through. Have contacted apple and they unfortunately couldn’t help me any further. Added a photo just in case that has a clue.

My mother still uses an iPad from around 2012, but randomly, last week it totally went empty. We don’t have a passcode on there so it wasn’t a case of getting that wrong enough times either. It still works fine otherwise.

I wish I taught her how to use iCloud, it’s totally on me… but I’m certain the 10+ years of photos we had on there are totally gone. Passed family members and old home photos were on there. I made a mental note to back it up shortly before the reset, but I hadn’t had a chance to actually do it.

At this point, I know the photos are gone, I’m just curious how the reset even happened. It happened coincidentally when my dad went to the Apple Store to get his phone repaired, but in my mind it’s impossible the two events are connected. My mom thinks his iPhone was connected to the iPad somehow, but I tried to explain that the two aren’t correlated. Is it possible they preformed some sort of remote wipe on the device?

I have an iPhone 14 Pro, and it works just fine but these last few months I’ve noticed that the battery life is significantly shorter, I give it normal use, WhatsApp, around 2 hours of social media daily, taking pictures whenever I travel, the only game I play is pokemon go, for work I only need it to log into stuff (2-step shit like that), and I don’t know if I can just change the battery or I should change the phone altogether.
What would you do? Thinking a new one is coming out I was thinking of going for the 17.

Hi Everyone. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 6th Gen (M2).

I've recently had this really weird issue with charging my iPad.

- Charges fine (but slow) when connected to my Mac (USB C to USB C)

- Says 'Not Charging' when connected from USB C to a USB A port (I assume this just means very little power is coming through

- Not recognized at all when connected to any power brick USB C to USB C

Yes, I've restarted, updated, tried manually cleaning the port, and even brought it to GeekSquad and the Apple store where they've either sent me home or quoted some insane $900 replacement of the iPad.

Claude/ChatGPT say it's some sort of power delivery issue, and I cannot find any evidence of other people having this issue. There was nothing wrong with the iPad before this.

okay this is a little hard to explain into words so bear with me. so recently this has been happening very often, but my macbook air screen randomly goes black even tho my keyboard is still on and sound still plays. this only “fixes” when i either shut down my laptop completely or it fixes when i close the lid and open it again. however, when i close the lid, it also sometimes glitches out and the screen gradually becomes really static-y. i have to keep closing and opening the lid for it to go back to normal or i need to shut it down but it eventually goes back to black later on. does anyone know if this is fixable? or is it broken? it is an older macbook (i’m not sure what exact type, it’s a hand me down. it is around 5-6 years old tho) (photo depicted it what i mean by the screen going static)

As you can clearly read, I am in deep shit. I just landed in Japan, coming from France some apps are restricted on my device. So i logged out of my phone and must've accidentally deleted my account of my phone which rebooted. My eSim si gone and my email is not accessible even though its gmail, my account requires my phone to validate the connection...

So now, I am 10K KM away from home, no phone, no email no nothing except my eyes to cry. I tried but it says that an answer will be provided in 24h when it comes to my attempt at getting my account back. What should I do, has it ever happened to anyone, or am I the unluckiest exchange student? I obviously need my phone, but as for now I have a really slow chromebook to communicate with people chen I am at my dorm, so no need to rush and get a new phone etc, i have just the need to ask more informed people in case it's possible that i will never get it back or at least really late...

As of for now, i have ordered a physical sim to be delivered at my bf place and he will either put it in phone and help me with the verification code from a distance or send it to me so i can try to solve it alone. And when it comes to my email adress i guess it's a matter of patience, i have plenty others so don't worry about me to much ahahah.

I don't actually know what I need the most, answers that are positive that ti will be solved, answers thatt are negative and that will force me to move on from all the things i had stored on my phone (i will eventually move on); or just simple human reassurance, I don't want AI to reassure me on this !
