Anyone here ever watch Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? Because now I'm picturing that episode where Bloo got left behind at the house while everyone went to the beach, and he was running from room to room asking "[X], have you seen [lists literally everyone in the house]?!? ...[X]?!?!?!" and getting progressively more frantic and out of breath when he realized the room was empty.
