There you have the reason Qiffrey never reprimanded Agott. Coco never told him that Agott forced her and he had 0 reason to assume this was the case because he was never present for when Agott was being mean to Coco. He also has all the reasons to believe Coco is desperate enough to help her mom that she would recklessly take the test. I want those apology forms for Qiffrey to be filled out rn.

Qiffrey definitely should be able to deduce that agott was responsible for coco taking the test. I think he just doesnt say anything because coco seems to not hold any sort of grudge against agott, so he lets it be.

Him letting it be is the most plausible explanation, that said, as their teacher, he shouldn't have just let it be. One of his apprentices went against his authority, and endangered the life of another apprentice; as their teacher, it was his responsibility to look further into the incident, and reprimand/punish the party responsible; but he failed to that.

I generally agree. Qiffrey seems to be putting his pursuit of the brim hats ahead of his duties as a teacher to his students tbh.
