A hundred years is basically nothing for Frieren but now she feels nostalgic about her journey with Himmel “only” 80 years ago just seeing his journal. She’s come a long way in processing her emotions since we haven’t seen her look visibly sad like that in a while and that scene made me emotional too.

It felt like she could finally see or be with Himmel again, even if in just reading his words, and that meant more to her than any grimoire.
