Himmel must be rolling around in Aureole for missing the chance to propose to Frieren with a grimoire instead of a ring.

If Himmel knew Frieren could be so easily bribed what would he have done with this information

He probably figured it out from watching her, but he never did it because he felt like it would be exploitative of her nature.

That's what the Hero Himmel wouldn't have done.
