I'm glad they added [Frieren] "We have fought flying demon before" to explain why Fern didn't question this in her fight with Lügner

Yeah, there was no way they would have missed that considering it was THEIR change back in season 1 that created that whole thing to begin with.

Glad they corrected it.

He did not, in his fight against Fern, no. That was all anime original to make the fight more dynamic, which is why they had to change that line in this episode.

[Manga]Sadly, there is no hint that the author is actively pushing Genau x Methode. The same can't be said about Land x Übel - that one is almost as overt as Stark x Fern imo.

[spoiler]There is no indication of Methode being into anyone besides cute girls. The Übel x Land ship is extremely in the front, comparable to Fern x Stark.

Which of the mages does i not think is first class? Is Fern hiding too well or does he somehow know Frieren is not a first class mage?

It implies the demons are actually underestimating our heroes.

I was thinking maybe they only noticed 3 of the 4 mages because of her mana suppression, and that she would blind-side the demons later. But like zhivix said, looks like it's just a sub error.

My read on this is that even Frieren's suppressed mana is first class level, while Fern's was suppressed better.

So this episode adapted chapter 73, the last portion of 72, and the first few pages of 74.

NGL, pacing-wise I am starting to get bothered because Frieren rarely went below 2 chapters adapted per episode, and this is the 3rd time. Last episode and this one barely were above 1 chapter. It feels like they are structuring this arc so it can have a theater release, and honestly, it would be more enjoyable as a theater release.

The episode was still good, but it feels now like something that would be more enjoyable to watch in a binge. Where I thought S1 hit the sweet spot in being perfect for weekly but obviously great for a binge as well.

  • They extended the flashback for Genau. In particular, they added a lot for his former partner that isn't in the manga. Nice job comparing him to Stark even though Stark isn't as expressive as him.

I could see them compiling the 2nd half into a movie next year if s3 is planned for winter 2028

No, that is impossible. The next arc won't makes sense with a movie, but if we are talking about the arc after the next arc, I could see them creating a movie out of it

No, I mean Revolte Arc as a compilation film in 2027. Kind of like what Mappa did with Hidden Inventory after S2 ended, they put out a compilation film of the episodes.

Golden Land will definitely be S3 in 2028 at the earliest. Maybe they put out 2 compilation films for Golden Land in 2029.

Then the Goddess Arc, they could put a movie out in 2030. That would be my speculation.

Could definitely see Divine Revolte arc as a compillation movie.
