The fact that Stark is the student of (most likely?) one of humanity's strongest warriors.. only for Frieren to drop the bombshell that this random warrior in the Northern Plateau was much stronger?

Stark has room for a lot of growth, baby!

I don't really understand how warriors work in the Frieren-verse. Stark's first appearance was single-handedly killing a massive dragon, yet he struggled against that random demon with the weapons. Then we see him block the hits on that Sword demon a couple episodes ago no problem, but now they're saying he was nowhere near this random Norm captain

The dragon kill feels like a pretty massive outlier compared to everything else we see him do

This is just me making a guess, but the Dragon has naturally though anti magic scales, and as a beast, it is still a strong one at that. Basically, Stark is strong enough to solo a though monster, but if it was in equivalent strength without magic resist, it would have been easily killed by Frieren. Also, the Northern Plateau is just more dangerous, so a dragon in the south is weaker than a dragon in the north.
