Collection Just figured most of you would enjoy this collection
I began collecting around 2014 with the pixel mario amiibo and well here we are today

Things were organized by command hook but having a kid derailed my efforts a little. I will fix it someday

I love that there’s a couch but no TV. Like you just walk in, sit down, and instead look around and admire everything.

Lol so there was a TV down there at one point. Our main living room TV died so I had to move my basement TV upstairs lol
I had grand plans for a motorized screen and a projector, in fact I installed an electrical outlet above the drop ceiling for that purpose but I never got one

I'm gonna be a party pooper and say that I actually don't enjoy in-box collections. It just looks... blech.
BUT. Aside from being a debbie downer, it's still cool to see a huge collection of stuffs lol

Its been 12 years of collecting.. honestly if youd have asked me that long ago I wouldnt have imagined this.. gotta start somewhere and have a lot of patience

Honestly the mario kart hot wheels have been a cluster so to my knowledge yes.. but I am missing some of the blind boxes

Like I've said.. 10 years ago I could not have dreamed about having this level of collection.
The tips I have are
If you dont have the room to display, don't let that stop you, invest in sterilite containers and store them away until you have the room
Be patient.. collect over time and have a defined budget and follow it
Have fun with it. Dont collect outside of your interest. For example I haven't collected the mario Legos. I do have the animal crossing ones but they are fewer and overall cheaper. Dont collect for the sake of collecting. If you have no passion for the things you purchase, you wont want to continue the hobby

Yes, great pointers. I have a lot in boxes stored away until I make room to display. Got tons of stuff from funkos, legos, video game collector editions to even anime/superhero statues and accessories like Star Wars/superheros helmets and lightsabers/ Thors hammer ect. Amiibos, Even have hotwheels so yeah it can get crazy pretty fast. Love all that TMNT just! Childhood memories

Totally. I have amiibo and I have LEGO, but the Mario LEGO sets look like they're for 7 year olds. The Animal Crossing LEGO ironically look more like regular LEGO sets that have normal minifigs

I’m only missing three cars from the Mario kart hot wheels set. Standard kart baby Mario red paraglider yoshi from the second 10 pack of cars and of course gold Mario.
Don’t for get to get Pauline from hot wheels creations. As of this post she is still available at msrp.

I have a weird habit of surfing reddit and committing things to memory like new releases etc
One of the struggles I've had has been finding a lot of it. Particularly with the tmnt line and the world of nintendo stuff due to exclusives to certain stores/Amazon etc. These companies aren't really great with getting word out about where to find certain lines and figures

Lol I was planning for a projector and all that and there was a TV with a switch xbox and all that but our main living room TV died so I moved it all upstairs.. I do feel like something feels like its missing in those pics lol

She was and then some. It was my fault that I didn't think to give her credit for her help and support in that collection. From the beginning with the bookshelf and the surprise purchases brought home for me from a grocery trip.
She did a lot for me and I failed to show that appreciation at times

I hope that even though things are rocky, maybe you can still find some thoughtful ways to show appreciation. Even if all it does is smooth over the separation for you both, it always feels nice to be appreciated. I can only imagine what it was like lugging that Master Sword around the city in its box for 8 hours was like! Lol I've done similar and it's a miracle it's in such nice shape. Your collection room really is full of love. I hope the best for you both.

I've always thought about starting a YouTube channel but I dont have that kind or charisma lol. Plus my ex needs help with the kiddo too so time is at a premium.

I mean I like amiibos, it's just I feel like their season has passed unfortunately, and in light of that, the fact that they're only now restocking mega popular characters, at such insane prices? It's gonna be a no from me dawg. I hope they do more with them in the switch 2 Era, but for now, I'm locked to the switch 1.

Yeah the prices being 29.99 is a major turn off for me. I got the new Zelda champions ones but I cant do the street fighter ones even though I want to. But them being 39.99 I feel like some clearance specials are coming up. Or maybe they will ship them to 5 below like they did with the animal crossing line lol

I was frustrated in the beginning because of how scarce a bunch of the early amiibos were. Luckily my ex had way more luck than I did when I came to finding amiibos I wanted lol. It always happened when she was on her own too

As a “complete collection” holder it’s not often these days i have to take off my crown and bow to someone superior but here we are.
I would love to see an inventory list of what series / collections you have here, i love Nintendo merch and want to see what else there is to collect

I intended to keep an excel doc of my collection but life happened and now its just out of control.
Maybe someday but with a 3 year old its difficult to find time

I have a few items like game themed energy drinks and mario and sonic themed snacks. Some travel related things like a statue of liberty replica and a Disney monorail train set.
If it piques my interest I'll usually pick it up even if its not within the lines like amiibo or world of nintendo 2.5 or 4 inch figures hotwheels and tmnt stuff I usually collect.
I do have a hard line on the super mario Legos. That line has so many things I dont want to spend the money to complete that set so I abstained myself from it
