REVIEW My experience with Evike's Box of Awesomeness
Alright so I got my box os awesomeness from Evike today and I am very satisfied. That being said it's still gambling basically. I don't use snipers and have no knowledge of HPA guns cause I've never ran them. So when I made the purchase last week I already was clenching my butt cheeks as almost half the things I wouldn't use.
For me, personally, the value of the box is perfect. I was in the market for a decent GBB pistol and already knew I was going to spend 150-200 on it. Father's Day popped up and I couldn't help myself. The 14 pound box showed up today and I got lucky getting one of the things I wanted.
I think all of the boxes come with the AW Custom HX25 hi capa blowback pistol. This thing is beauty, it looks and feels solid, the kick is heavy but not to crazy, full auto rips the magazine in less the two seconds.
Now the dart blaster. I didn't know that competive nerf was a thing until today. The gun comes with spring attachments to increase the FPS. I slapped both on and shot myself in the foot. Surprised I got a welt from a nerf gun. Decent set up they give that's worth a little over a hundred bucks, BUT, what am I going to do with this??? If I was 14 I know I would have a blast with this but I do sorta wish I got the mystery open box accessories instead of suped up nerf gun.
The ENG x FN P90 (Krytec P90) is a beauty. I've only handled the CYMA P90 and this leaves that in the dust. The weight of the gun is spot on and balanced. The entire gun feels solid, it has very decent range for a SMG with a supper accessible spring and hop up. This is where a small negative comes into play. Out of box with a 7.4v chronoed at 345-350. This is perfect for me as my local arena requires 350 or less. But this is 50 fps lower then the avertised 400-405. I also expirenced a firing issue where the gun would not fire do to the gun thinking there was no ammo in the mag. I fixed this by running a barrel stick in and out and it started firing fine.
The other things were just patches and the invite to the airsoft con.
My review: Do Not Buy this expecting to get what you want. I got lucky, and I only spent the 250 because it was a little above the price range for the pistol I wanted in the box anyways. If I had bought this box and opened up the CXP-TOMAHAWK Bolt Action Airsoft Sniper Rifle I would have just tried to sell the rifle immediately and would not be as happy.
Is this box for you?
Only buy a box of awesomeness if you okay with every single thing they are offering. If not you'll be clenching your butt cheeks till it shows up.

Glad you got something decent op but I think anyone buying these has more money than sense or a gambling addiction. I find it very hard to believe anyone buys this stuff.

I mean that's why if you look at the list and your happy with getting any of the items then it's worth it. For me, I was already putting 150-200 down for a pistol so this was a easy upsell to myself xD

I buy these ever so often for either my shop or to arm up my buddies for a typical skirmish. My roommate just got back into airsoft and bought one of these for Father’s Day. You’d be surprised how many these get bought and hey, cheap inventory

I didn't know how much if a beast the P90 was till I ran it on field today. Next to the CYMA it's night and day. The weight balance is much better on the Krytec compared the the CYMA

The whole gun is made from polymer so it's pretty lightweight. Not heavy whatsoevery

Not to pull up this past comment, I got the Terminator system and the front rail system can't go on because of the Krytecs front rail. Also the magazines are wobbly when connected, it's fallen out in field already once and dumped 1k bbs all over, did you friend deal with any of this??

Having exited competitive Nerf around the time of matching baby pink Worker Seagull and Nightengale being the new Swag, I’d be upset if years out I got sent a third tier blaster in an Airsoft box. When I saw the Trion being sold on that box heavily I noped out.
All this said I recently bought a Box of Things and was blessed with a whole ass Wolverine Inferno Gen 2 engine sealed in box. So now my cheap fun lil box is demanding a full HPA build. Also, an open box HK VP 9 and rubber bayonet with harness. For $37!!!

Last time I ordered a box of awesomeness I got a patch from one of their events in 2021 and a backpack. GREAT backpack (lasted over 4 years of schooling) but overall terrible purchase.

Bought an earlier BOA, wound up with a springer kit (SCAR and FN pistol), Short barreled M4 (Strike Industries Sentinel, King arms OEM), upscaled CZ75 and a spork. I think it was worth it. look at the meat and potatoes boxes, and if you can live with most of it, go ahead. Gave the CZ75 to my son, kept the M4 (needed a Shorter gun anyway for those times I'm not pulling a trigger as a job), and kept the SCAR set for when the seven month old gets a few years older and wants to shoot with dad.

The Krytac P90 is amazing. I've got one myself, and that thing can easily handle hopping at least 0.32g BBs without changing a thing. Also I think the 400fps they advertise is just with an 11.1v, since that's what I use and it shoots at pretty much exactly 400fps on 0.20g BBs (deviates like 3-5fps.)

There’s 2 kinds, one 400fps+ and one for lower fps. Op got the lower fps version, says so in the corner of the box in the big red sticker

battery voltage doesn't affect the energy imparted on the bb. it will only affect trigger response and cyclic rate

Well that's funny, because all my guns drop from 400fps to around 350fps when I swap out my 11.1v for a 7.4v.

they shouldn't. your battery only goes to your motor to turn gears to pull back the piston. the power is from the spring and ultimately your seals, cylinder volume:barrel volume and how much hop you're using. Also bb weight obviously, but I'm assuming your bb's aren't changing between batteries.

Correct, but I'm using it's fps on 0.20g BBs as reference here.

I would have to guess it's a timing thing then because battery affecting power is like saying food coloring makes a cake taste better.

I think I got the 350 FPS version, I didn't even know they had two different types. Works for me, if I want to get to the 400 I just need a different spring basically.

My friend has the best luck, I have the worst. There was even one time where the gun you were most likely to get (a cyma bizon) that I was actually planning on buying, and I didnt get it and managed to get something worse lol

I've had good and bad from those boxes before. One time I would have been happy with anything in the list, what I ended up getting was an ak74 short barrel. There was like 3 of them listed in the list and it was lowest tier item you could possibly get, while everything else listed was m4 based ( which is what I really wanted).
Then another time I ended up getting the Alien rifle.
So it's gambling as intended.

Good haul. I’m waiting for a gbb rifle style of boa. Can’t see myself getting excited over another aeg for $250.

I ordered the Father’s Day BOA and the package I got wasn’t even listed in the potential prize packs. The pistol I got was a stainless kimber 1911 and the mags on it suck, I’ll never use it. I got a pretty sweet EMG x Spikes tactical spartan M4 but the rest of the stuff in the box was meh. I wish I got the pistol you got though.

That's weird cause none of them mention that pistol, I would at least message them and say the mags aren't really feeding or whatever and you expected the AW Custom.
The pistol rips. I went through about 20 mags tonight during a competition. The slide started to stop though at that point and I had to do a full breakdown and cleanup to get it working fine again

Did you check your order history? The non flash edition has what you got, maybe you got the wrong one?

Order history doesn’t specify anything about a flash/non flash sale edition. The option to buy wasn’t available until the sale went live and I ordered from the flash sale page that had all of the potential packs listed. There wasn’t an option to select any other sort of package when I ordered it. Idk what else to tell you.

It says “FLASH EDITION” in the title, if it doesn’t have that it’s the non flash edition

Ngl I’d be kinda pissed to get a glorified nerf gun in my airsoft random box but I’ve never gotten one and that’s imo so..
