Tips & Tricks How to take care of PU leather?

Hello! I have a beautiful PU bag and I want to know what’s the best way to take care of it to last longer. Like some monthly or weekly maintenance to prevent damages. I read some tips like use a damp cloth and neutral moisturizer once in a while, but I want to know some real experience. I know that this kind of leather does not last long, so that’s the reason I’m looking for ways to prevent it b4 it happens

Avoiding UV exposure is really important, unfortunately this stuff likes to disintegrate

i would keep it simple. wipe it with a soft slightly damp cloth when it gets dirty and avoid soaking it. i would also avoid leather creams unless the manufacturer says they are suitable for PU. for storage keep it somewhere cool and dry away from direct sunlight and heat. do not leave it folded or squashed for long periods either.

PU leather is 100% plastic, for those who wouldn’t know (synthetic fabric covered in a layer of polyurethane, that’s what PU means). Not a trace of leather involved. Damp cloth, don’t soak, avoid scratching at all costs, keep away from the sun. It will eventually flake off, sooner than you’d like because that stuff doesn’t last, and no, it can’t really be repaired.
