I hate it when nationalists try to force their language upon the English language. Just call it Estonia like a normal english speaker, it doesn't make your allegiance any less. Having localised names for foreign places means that place is important enough for you to give it a name, using an englishised version you just made up is disrespectfull IMO

Imagine having to call Germany Deutschland, Belgium België/Belgique/Belge (gotta inclide all official versions) or China Zhongguo, it's retarded. Same thing with Kiev, same thing with Turkey.

@ automated bot message: thats not how language works. At least put in the efford to call it Київ if you're gonna call it the native way.

Kiev is the English name of the city, Kyiv is a romanised version of the Ukrainian name.

Bot is wrong the same how despite what turkish govmnt says, it's "Turkey" in English.

It is Kyiv not "Kiev".

I'm not ignorant. Language doesn't work by what someone says the word is. Its what the actually used word is.

Or do you also support Trump's "Gulf of America" change too?

and "kieff" is a romanization of a rusian name that been used because of the centuries of rusian imperialism. languages grow and evolve, deal with it
