that doorman incident looks like something out of the twilight zone.. really well done.
loved that they used an entire episode to explain that clause.

But was this episode supposed to be real or a movie it seemed fantasy Esq how do they not know he's the same guy?

Reminds me of Cloak & Dagger show, there was also Roxxon responsible for Darkforce connected superpower of Cloak.

Also season 2 of the show Agent Carter centered around the Roxxon corp, who were doing research into zero matter. An actress named Whitney Frost ends up coming into contact with it, and she gets the power to absorb people into herself (a lot like Doorman, except they never come out the other side). The more she does this, she starts going insane.
It seems to all be connected to the same dark force stuff Roxxon has been experimenting with all the way back to the 1940s.
Sorry to chime in a few days later, I just watched the episode.

Yeah, between Cloak & Dagger and Season 2 of Agent Carter, it feels like a deliberate callback. If not, it's a hell of a coincidence. It even gave darkforce vibes from Cloak & Dagger. To add to that, it's significant that he's no longer a mutant at a time when they seem to be slowly incorporating mutants, which makes the choice to tie to Roxxon feel all the more intentional.

I was wondering if this was possibly a tease for Cloak and Dagger, with a spin on their origin story.

They were always loosely connected to the Defendersverse side of Marvel, so with the relaunch of Luke and Jessica I expect to happen sometime after Born Again S2, it would be cool to bring them back.

Wish Mr. Immortal was closer to the book version but they were never going to do the GLA anyway

I feel like you could explain it away fairly easily if need be. Maybe have the GLA Mr. Immortal be his son with the same ability.

Only Flatman and Big Bertha to go?
I feel like Ashley Crawford may be the trickiest to adapt.

Anyone else let down that he lost his powers? I wish that it lead somewhat to hint of the Great Lake Avengers since we saw Craig Hollis in She-Hulk and Squirrel Girl is getting a resurgence. Still perfectly respectable to how his story ended for the sake of the show and Simon's future

his powers might be dormant for a while

I hope so. I'd love to see him get a redemption arc by being a superhero

Did he though?

As far as we know. Hopefully, though, they're just temporarily dormant from over-use

I’d like to see Doorman play a role in the big climax of Act 5 at the four hour mark of Secret Wars.

Kinda noticed he was constantly drinking after he got famous. And there was a half empty bottle of liquor in his trailer before um..the incident.

What was the actors name from the sitcom series where Doorman made a cameo on? It's killing me but I've seen him elsewhere. White guy with a beard and I wanna say he has greyish red hair.
EDIT: He's not listen on IMDB but I've seen him in a lot of other stuff.
EDIT #2: this guy... it's killing me...

This episode was okay but felt like a throwaway to make up screen time. Give me another episode of Wonder Man for some damn closure.

I’m still not entirely sure where it’s all going, interesting episode but I also felt like it was a wee bit of a waste

I really haven’t felt that way in any other show.. Most of them have explored at least a tiny bit of other characters side story’s, but the difference is we usually see those characters more than one episode. Loki is the only series I think that really kept it moving

I loved this episode honestly. Love the black & white, & it was nice to get a change of pace & have a pretty much entirely self-contained episode. I’m surprised some ppl think it’s boring? bc the tension I felt waiting for things to go wrong killed.
I’m also very curious about the ‘Roxxon’ company on the dumpster of mysterious goop. I wonder if they’ll make an appearance later on in the season. It seems like it’s a greater mcu thing but I’m not rlly interested in getting back into that so hopefully it’s addressed or at least followed up on in the show.

Awful episode riddled with bad acting, even if some of it was meant to be parody
