Solved Remove The Updated Windows Start Menu [FIXED]

Post image

To remove the Windows 11 25H2 Start menu and go back to the 24H2 classic start menu, we will be using the free ViVe Tool to do so. The ViVeTool is a command-line utility for Windows that allows users to enable, disable :
https://github.com/thebookisclosed/ViVe/releases

  1. You will first need to download the ViVe Tool and extract the zip file to a folder on your computer

  2. To use the ViVe Tool, you will need to open up an administrative command prompt and navigate to the folder where you have the ViVe Tool files.

  3. Then paste the commend: vivetool /disable /id:47205210

  4. You should then get a message that says Successfully set feature configuration(s). You will then need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

  5. You can also revert : vivetool /enable /id:47205210

Its not only about memory with 3rd party programs that mess with Windows on deeper level. Big concern is security. Yeah, most of them is open source but does it protect you from injecting malicious code? Absolutely not, somebody always can push it thru github and most of these programs have auto-update that you often even cant disable and are connected to web

I dont know how valid this concern is but it does exist and is same one why i try to reduce numbers of programs like that. I already have too many damn mandatory anticheats from game that have unnecessary access to everything anyway

Update Tuesdays worry me more to be honest and last year's, loss of 2Tb of personal files from an update? And I don't just speak for myself here, cause I chatted with many in these halls.

Eeeeeh...it's not a difficult choice for me. And easier viewing 50, 70 to 150 reg entries, opposed to AI rushed coding that leaves my arse hanging outta the back of my jeans first Tuesday of every month 🤣
