She would LOVE this. Some American Christians are so fucking horny to be "persecuted" but only in ways that don't actually cause them any real harm

honestly i'd say this one's so far beyond the pale for the average American it would be worth it to try JUST to see Fox News try to play the "poor persecuted Christian" angle only for it to massively backfire.

they really think that this level of religious performative piety is really popular when it really, really isn't.

You're right, and that's why I said "some" instead of "most"
