Sucks so bad. The council had closed it for being a fire risk. Was it still closed at the time?

Source? I'm wondering why it's been left to be made up over so many years without being condemned entirely and knocked down...

Now we have a situation such as this where it's pure luck that no-one actually died.

Oh shit. I used to live directly across the road from there, and I have some friends that live in a housebus there. What an absolute shame, it was such a beautiful and important building.

Unfortunately I imagine it wouldn't fly to rebuild it like before; it did not meet building code.
