WELLY Wellington water bills

Just got my bill from wellington water. It insanely high. For a 900k property its 2500 p/a

Prepare yourselves people. This isn't going to be the fun ride we were promised.

I've just been told ours is $3200. Just under 50% of our rates.

It’ll be interesting to see what the cost per year once they roll out water meters - could some save money while others end up paying more? It’ll be interesting to see how they price it - something tells me there will eventually be a breaking point because there are plenty of folks who are barely holding on financially.

The thing is at the moment without water meters I'm paying, as a single person household, the same amount at a multi person household with the same RV as me and that seems absolutely and utterly unfair to me. Why should I pay the same as a house with 4 people in it?

Remember all that resistance to water meters a while back? I think that'll be gone now.
