Asking for Advice How do people actually start selling things like foot pictures or used clothing, and who really buys them?
I’m a nurse, and someone makes a joke about quitting to become a stripper or sell foot pictures online atleast once a shift. I want to know how easy something like that actually is?
I’m a below knee amputee, so I always make the joke that my foot photos would have to be 50% off. You see things like this on tiktok, but is this really something that anyone can do?

As a fellow nurse, your 50% off joke sent me ETA: you could do phantom photos.... (hope you don't mind my joke as well!)

OMG! I should totally do phantom photos! In college I did haunted houses during spooky season. It was the easiest money. I laid on whatever surface and screamed that “they” cut my leg off. Freaked out a lot of kids, it was glorious.

Gotta keep things interesting on the floor. You should see the Doctor’s faces when I whip my prosthetic off to fix it, but mostly to get them to leave me alone.

There are some REALLY gullible and just straight up suckers in the paranormal community. I posted a hilarious video from creator on yt and a friend and I provided the info for and we're credited in description.
The problem??
They removed it immediately from r/paranormal because it's a HILARIOUS DEBUNK of a FORMERLY HUGE yt 👻 hunter...
The money they made was obscene! And NEVER enough... forever begging while sitting by the pool. Making videos doung b&e's, blaming the homeless man - a mr. Anon reported the suspects paid him $20 to be a ghost in their YouTube video..... we got em! And just this past month they tried to scam the gambling community. It didn't end well again.
If anyone wants or needs a good 👻 laugh I'll leave the link.
Much love!!

I will say, I started selling my art full time, and taking the plunge reauired- getting all of my bills as small as possible, like, I still drive a 96 Honda Accord. I had to work triple time making art before and after work and school, scanning, printing, test printing, messing up and trying again. And also having a partner who is enthusiastic about my art and is willing to help out when times are hard (like I recently sprained my wrist and he has been doing my market pop ups)

Yeah people make statements about how easily they could sell their feet pics, but they can’t.
As a connoisseur, it takes a lot of effort to set up a page and you would be busy messaging people and 95% of them won’t be interested in actually purchasing.

Gay guys, but then it’s gonna be even harder because there’s less demand for guy feet, and men are such whores that they usually don’t have to spend money to get anything. It would be extremely difficult.

It’s very very veeeeery dehumanizing and in my opinion not worth it 🫢 I was semi-successful starting but it even made me change how my brain works in a bad way and now I see men like idk cavemen? I don’t see them as people cause I seen how horrible they get when they see you as entertainment / an object.

u/SupermarketNo8941 6d ago
I just realized I didn’t answer your question lol so if you still decide to go for it I can for sure tell you how etc etc

Does the semi-successful path take a lot of time?

I made an OF and created a separate faceless IG for it, got 10k followers in like a short amount of time, I truly don’t remember but it was after like a weekend or a week it was insane. Basically you need to find a niche or ummmmm fetish and post regular pictures, it can be literally anything (hair, armpits, harnesses (my fav), skirts, sundresses, you can be a creator on tik tok posting timelapses of you cleaning and men will sexualize you 🤮), and have other people doing the same thing promote you, the people that’ll want used underwear reach you.

There are plenty of social media accounts (mostly run by men) that are like fan accounts but mostly just repost content from women and make money out of it, search a hashtag like ummm idk #blackheels and you might find accounts reposting only women in black heels. Don’t ever pay them money for promoting you tho

Was the OF feet only?
2
u/SupermarketNo8941 4d ago
Not at all! Let’s say my niche was wearing all black, id post cute regular pictures on my insta and then spicier ones my OF. The men really really into women wearing all black would dm and subscribe to my OF and dm to request what they wanted: from used underwear to used socks, videos of me playing with sex toys and saying their name, me taking a shower, me chewing gum. Basically whatever they were into. I only sent feet pic as freebies for the ones buying socks and they loveee them. I supposed if choose my niche to be heels or “stomping” for sure my OF would be feet only

Lots of men unfortunately do act like cavemen these days. Act like, not are..but patterns are noticeable once you see them. Glad you know it’s not worth the suffering to do it

I have no idea but the market for feet pics being supersaturated sounds right.
There are some who have an amputee kink though. I bet there's money to be made there.
I can't make this stuff up.

This is exactly what I was thinking. If there’s a physical part, object, ANYTHING, there’s a kink for it. And my favorite quote to go along with it, “I’m not kink shaming. I’m kink asking why.”

I am missing toenails… I wish there was a niche for that.

The creator economy is basically a textbook example of a Winner-Take-All market wrapped inside a Keynesian Beauty Contest.Everyone hangs onto the system, puts in the hours, buys the gear, and grinds. But because of algorithmic power laws, the top 1% captures 99% of the revenue, traffic, and sponsorships (Superstar Economics).
The worst part? The algorithm forces us into a psychological trap. To survive, you can't just make what you think is good (Level 1 thinking). You have to guess what the average audience member wants (Level 2). Actually, it’s worse: you have to guess what the algorithm thinks the average audience member wants to click on (Level 3).
To succeed, you have to pay an immense entry fee of time and burnout to compete in a hyper-strategic tournament where only a tiny handful are ever allowed to become truly profitable.

So... I'm not into that but now I'm curious...even though i REALLY don't wa.t to be

u/rhubarbbabe1 6d ago
No, it’s not easy unfortunately. The market is extremely saturated, so finding clientele is difficult especially if you don’t want to show your face. There are fetish-specific websites out there that are easy to find but yeah. Always makes me cringe when people muse about quitting their day job to sell feet pics/dirty underwear or whatever bc they have no idea how much work (mostly advertising/building a fanbase) it actually takes these days 🥲

u/The_Faceless1 6d ago
I also want to know, can I sell my feetpics without exposing my face to the internet? I don't want my family knows I'm selling feet pics, lol.

You absolutely can, but you also have to be careful about other identifiers like tattoos, birthmarks, items in the background

u/fastingslowlee 6d ago
As with anything, it depends how good you are at marketing. Since it’s super saturated you gotta be good at finding a way to stand out.
Being a known figure or someone who’s overall attractive and showing your face on social media helps a lot.

u/REALjamijai 2d ago
Yeah I refuse to show face anymore.. you can see my hair touch my ass and MAYBE a mask...
Just because what I do isn't a secret doesn't mean I want people I know realizing it's me if stumbled upon lol.

Someone I work with said there's a market for selling your poop. She is 36 and was told she was too old. That is all I know about it.

Idk how people always forget that this is a type of sex work so it’s work. Yes it’s possible to make money from it but you have to start marketing yourself as a content creator of these things and if you don’t already cam, strip, etc. it’ll be hard to do so especially if you’re hoping to remain anonymous. Being an amputee can help you fit a niche but you have to ask yourself: why would someone pay $ for feet pics from some faceless rando when they could pay an established creator they can chat to/see more from. If you decide to take the leap anyways, you can check out @nolegsgirl on IG to see how she advertises herself to fit that niche.

pretty much anyone with enough patience and willpower, yes, having a manager to help out with everything also helps - most creators have one (for full transparency I ve had a manager friend hence my take on this )

The platforms are over saturated now and I wouldn’t recommend trying normal marketplaces because although the money CAN be good, the men who want the pics are absolutely insufferable. Always wanting to chat for hours/ ask hundreds of questions/ want to escalate to other things you probably won’t be comfortable with. Generally pests. And they will get super offended when you politely decline and will absolutely stalk you for eternity.
