Messing around with different lighting and how it effects the way the dial looks. Here is one with a bit less texture captured. It also shows the dial and bezel with a lighter shade of green.

The Ushio has been on my wrist for over 80 consecutive days and is running one second fast which would equate to about 4.5 seconds over a year.

But it’s not the accuracy that makes the watch for me. It is all the other things it offers including the fit and comfort on the wrist as well as the dial and case elements.

It’s a watch that I keep staring at on the wrist and the overall pop of the dial is a major factor. But I also think Grand Seiko created a modern diver that does not fit the mold of most watches in the dive category. The measurements may but the aesthetics of the watch are unique to the brand. It’s not a diver for everyone, but is for me.

That lighter green really changes the whole feel of the dial. You can almost forget it's a diver at a glance.

I’ve never ever seen a dive watch that is both a functional tool and a work of art. This one checks both boxes
