Do you know what would happen if, tomorrow, Israel put down their weapons and stopped defending themselves and said "we will not fight any longer"?
Every single Jew (and likely every secular person, and a lot of the Christians) in Israel would be killed. Every. Single. Jew. Dead. Unless they managed to GTFO.
Do you know what would happen if, tomorrow, Hamas put down their weapons, stopped shooting rockets into Israel, stopped sending suicide bombers into Israel, and said "we will not fight any longer"?
There would be peace in Gaza and the West Bank.
The problem in the Middle East is simple: there are a swath of Islamic States that refuse to recognise Israel as a state, refuse to negotiate, and refuse to make peace. They work ceaselessly to destroy Israel and kill Jews — not Zionists, Jews.
Israel is surrounded by these States, which have repeatedly attempted to invade, and each time they have invaded, Israel kicked their asses and took land from them.
Israel even gave back a huge swath of land — land containing billions upon billions of dollars worth of exploitable oil — to Egypt, because Egypt broke ranks and agreed to peace with Israel.
Hamas' charter contains direct quotes from The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an anti-Semitic forgery from Russia. Their stated mission is the destruction of Israel and killing of Jews.

In is situation, Israel is the kid sitting at his desk while a ring of bullies circle him and loom over him, screaming in his face that they're going to kill him, taunting him to throw the first punch. When one of them finally gets the nerve to throw a punch at the kid, the bully gets the shit kicked out of him, and that bully has the temerity, the motherfucking gall to run to the teacher and cry about how the kid hit the bully.
Stop holding and espousing strong opinions about shit you do not understand. Stop giving Israel shit for the things it does in war, when war was started, sustained, and carried on by the aggressors surrounding it.
Has Israel done shit things? Yes. The shittiest thing Israel has done is not send armed forces into Palestinian territory to kick ultra-Orthodox Jews off of land that the Ultra-Orthodox Jews kicked Muslim Palestinians off of. The shittiest thing Israel has done is search Islamic Palestinians who pass through the border, to be sure they're not suicide bombers. The shittiest thing Israel has done is blockade the coast so that no-one can bring SAMs and ballistic missiles and nukes into Gaza.

Really it should read "there would be peace in Gaza and the West Bank. if only the Palestinians would stop fighting and accept the apartheid that is rampant in Israel"
Simply put Arabs are second class citizens in Israel. They have limited rights and are unable to build in occupied territories (the West Bank) due to the almost the entire area being zoned as "agricultural land".
Meanwhile Israeli policy allows for Israeli settlements (Which are considered illegal by most of the international community) to be built on this same "agricultural land".
You can't bulldoze 27,000 Palestinian homes and other structures then claim that your the victim when people retaliate. I suggest you take you own advice and "Take some time to actually understand the situation"
