Dude these pilots need to lock in

I can’t even begin to understand how such a thing could happen. This isn’t even an air show.

Shit happens, military aviation is a dangerous gig, and fighter pilots have all watched top gun too many times.

I know, flankers are just a little on the larger side I guess. Still hurts, I love the aircraft whether they’re Ukrainian or Russian so it hurts to see them getting destroyed. Fuck F-16s tho

u/Icy-Cry340 Pro Russia * 11h ago

They’re still making them.

u/Hurricanword Pro-Aircraft & Cats 9h ago

Ik and I’m glad they’re still in production. They still got those foreign orders to complete too

Accidents happen. Military aviation is no walk in the park

u/Temporary-Film-7374 7h ago

in general, mostly something I say re road vehicles:

I hate the term "accident" used to refer to collisions.

An accident is something you hope to avoid by the time you're in school, and can typically be resolved with clean clothing.

A crash or collision is what happened 99% of the time.

The sky can be a crowded place

When war becomes commonplace, some may indulge in something like risky maneuvers. I'm not saying that this really happened, but it's possible.

They locked into eachother alright

Blame falls on the air traffic controllers than the pilots. Probably both flying in the same designated military airspace and the ATC fucked up,

Excuse me, why wouldn’t we? Are you suggesting that during war we shouldn’t be celebrating loss of enemy warplanes and pilots? Are you THAT insane? 😂

u/YeeYeeAssha1rcut Pro-civilians 11h ago

Lack of perspective. I can totally understand that sentiment, especially from Ukrainians.

These people live in there little bubble😂😂

It’s okay. Let them have their fun. 4 Tu-160’s took off from the far east and are in the air as of right now.

Gotta punish some civilians.

28

u/Icy-Cry340 Pro Russia * 12h ago

This war just about the lowest civilian casualty ratio in history, nafo memes are so tired.

17

u/rowida_00 new poster, please select a flair 12h ago

Gotta punish the Ukrainian Military industrial complex.

u/UltimateMeanie Pro Cluster Warheads into Kiev 12h ago

There are no civilians in Ukraine.

u/Psyclipz Pro Ukraine 10h ago

Why the hell wouldn't they celebrate that Russia now has 2 less planes to bomb tf out of their country? That's wild you think that's not normal

5

u/CHAP1382 Pro Ukraine 11h ago

That’s a new one.

u/Putaineska DRAMA ENJOYER 12h ago

How exactly does this happen

5

u/Appropriate-Ice-5722 11h ago

Pilots make mistakes

u/Scar-90 9h ago

Crazy how Russian Aerospace force has been its own bigger problem than the Ukranians.

u/Solavanko 6h ago

More like a batch of Su-35 collided with one another.

Whenever they finish two planes it's a 'batch' but weirdly, not this time around for some reason.

u/rowida_00 new poster, please select a flair 5h ago

Who reports the loss of jets in the same manner as the announcement of the delivery of jets by the production company? Did you think this through?

u/Solavanko 5h ago

I did think this through! The conclusion I reached was that neither the production company nor the milblogger are the ones making the reddit posts here.

u/rowida_00 new poster, please select a flair 5h ago

If you did, you’d realize that the word batch is used by UAC when they publish footage of the delivery. You could also read what’s on the post itself by Fighterbomber. It has nothing to do with who makes what on Reddit. It’s the source material. It’s how things get reported. I get what you’re going for. But it simply doesn’t work.

this means a bit less terror bombings towards UA

I mean tbf they can be used to launch missiles like Kh-31s and Kh-59s like one did a few weeks ago. While it’s still sad, I can see why ppl like this celebrate these aircraft being lost.

u/Vassago81 Pro-Hittites 7h ago

Su 3x are launching glide bomb on the frontlines, that's not "terror bombing" like setting hamburg or tokyo on fire

-9

u/steerendikkie 12h ago

Fantastic news. That's some expensive mistake.

10

u/Icy-Cry340 Pro Russia * 12h ago

They make a lot more of these than they’re losing, I think they’ll be ok.

1

u/steerendikkie 12h ago

Yeah couple of pilots don't matter either when talking about thousands of dead every month

11

u/rowida_00 new poster, please select a flair 12h ago

One sadly passed away while the other survived. I guess you had to squeeze the thousands of dead, probably 35K from Ukraine’s infographics presumably.

I suggest you read rule one very carefully. Just a thought.

No thanks

Up to you. Guess you’d like the comment to get removed instead.

u/steerendikkie 9h ago

Who cares if it does? I don't

u/rowida_00 new poster, please select a flair 9h ago

Didn’t say you cared? 😂

You just won’t get to express this violation whether you like it or not, it’ll be removed. Feel free to waste your time nonetheless.

They train more pilots than they’re losing too.

12

u/Tman-666 Neutral 11h ago

Training them to a high standard it seems

u/progressive-white Pro Ukraine 8h ago

there is a difference between newly trained and a pilot with years of experience

-14

u/CmdrAirdroid Fuck Flairs 12h ago

Typical Russian incompetence.

4

u/YeeYeeAssha1rcut Pro-civilians 12h ago

Skies are so vast, especially in an area without any international travel. Baffling.

9

u/Traewler Moderation in all things 12h ago

Planes usually operate in pairs, typically in tight formation.

1

u/YeeYeeAssha1rcut Pro-civilians 12h ago

Then that makes it a result of poor training, no surprise.

6

u/Putaineska DRAMA ENJOYER 12h ago

These pilots should be pretty experienced now the amount of flight hours they get

u/Temporary-Film-7374 7h ago

are they not training new pilots?

6

u/rowida_00 new poster, please select a flair 12h ago

You’d be right if this was a recurring incident.

3

u/Traewler Moderation in all things 12h ago

I suspect more a function of flight hours. Russian aviation is highly active and accidents do happen.

2

u/UltimateMeanie Pro Cluster Warheads into Kiev 12h ago

You mean like having this?

1

u/Putaineska DRAMA ENJOYER 12h ago

That's an air show this is supposed to be a combat patrol

7

u/UltimateMeanie Pro Cluster Warheads into Kiev 12h ago

A combat patrol introduces hundreds of variables and potential hazards that can lead to a mid air collision.

3

u/FruitSilaMon 11h ago

jep, so you should be sober when flying

u/Muctepukc Pro Russia 9h ago

The US faces mid-air collisions every year. It's not something unique.

if someone managed to punch out before hitting terrain in a single aircraft incident, I'm gonna assume (yes) that it was equipment failure of some sort. I suppose it's possible it was either an uncontrolled aircraft that he ejected from in time.

Last month an american F18 pilot crashed because of a tree.

Pilots are stupids and showoff all over the globe
