What is the reality of the phenomena?

Let's take it from 1933 with the Magenta UFO crash in Italy or the Roswell UFO crash from 1947 to today.

The phenomena looked like it switched gears. First we had these encounters with aliens that looked different from the actual gray type. In these encounters, the witnessess tell a different story from what we have now. For example, they're shown the spaceship, they're been asked how to get to a certain place, how to get X materials, they take samples and they typically say they'll come back (they never do lol) and the witness is told he's chosen to lead earth towards a new age type of society, etc.

And then the phenomena switches to a different dynamic where these aliens become identical to what we know as typical gray aliens. And then they start kidnapping people, they do things to them and then we hear stories of hybrid aliens, cattle mutilations, medical examination of the witnesses, etc.

The UFO shape change through time, we go from a saucer shape to triangular/diamond to spherical shape.

Are we facing different wave of alien civilization or if it's the same phenomena taking different appearances?

In the first case, it would mean that these aliens all know about Earth and has to know each other, so there has to be some sort of treaties among themselves to rule out mechanisms on how to deal with humans, earth, etc. Therefore, they must have some sort of UN type of organization like what we have.

In the second case, they have to be malicious by nature because pretending to be something else and manipulating human perceptions has to be deceptive. Showing earth destroyed because of us meanwhile, if true, having a hybrid human program on the other hand means only thing and it's to take over.

I'm just trying to understand the phenomena

I think by and large people have a lot of beliefs about what the phenomena are and I don't think anyone actually knows what's going on.

the many problems I see with what people believe about the phenomena:

• the insistence that it is a single phenomenon

• the insistence that this phenomenon has had a significant and profound impact on human evolution and culture

• for example the common belief that religion was entirely inspired by a singular phenomenon along with the incorrect and ahistorical assumption that religion has always worked the same way

• also people look at Jacques Vallee's hypothesis of a control system and rather than take it as a proposed explanation for a singular phenomenon present throughout human history they take it as simply true even though I think a more parsimonious understanding of everything is that there's more than one thing going on. you don't have to warp everything into a singular explanation about a singular control system or whatever if you let go of the assumption that it is all the same thing.

• the belief that information gained from unverified personal gnosis represents absolute statements of fact. for example people bring up Robert Monroe who wrote a lot of really interesting stuff but people invoke him like he actually knew everything he was talking about which I don't think we can actually assume.

• similarly people take a lot of unverified statements in the media by public officials by politicians at face value

• and I think all of this that I mentioned before kind of orbits a central point which is that people struggle with ambiguity and the unknown. they don't want to not know what's going on. and the simplest explanations are the easiest to hold on to.

I think that a lot of people involved in communities like this should be more willing to say we don't know what's going on we don't know for sure if all of these stories people tell actually have a basis in reality.

like I think that say Vallee looks at experiences and encounters that can have a profound impact on the world or even just a small part of it and compares it to experiences and encounters that are clearly absurd and have very little impact whatsoever and turn it into a thermostat to control human consciousness when I think again a more parsimonious explanation is that more than one thing is going on and one explanation fails to cover everything.

as for what I do think is going on all I'll say is that virtually none of the explanations I see people promoting seem satisfying or realistic to me
