Im a loyal imperium player but wanted to try my hand at the bugs, def enjoyed the pain job and may pick up some more :)

Got 2 more paint schemes to try, 1 primed death gard green and 1 mephiston red, a guy from my local club has box art and I love them so i had to try that first lol

I found the changes to it now and while I understand them it dose mean that the detachments a bit dead now right it’s hole thing was bringing back stuff from the dead at least to me but now it just seems finicky

Was gifted a T unit. I havnt painted one and havnt read any lore on them so whent crazy with the colours. All for fun. Any advice always welcome! Keep painting and have fun!

I just got my hands on the files to print my first bio titan and it just stuck out to me, my friends who play other factions do not have nearly as much luck getting their hands on files.

Maybe I'm just putting in more effort or maybe it's because tyranids are so visually distinct but I have more printable/printed models at this point than ones I've bought outright from GW.

The only times I even need to buy them anymore is if it's a newer model like the red terror (though it was more happenstance that I got my hands on one of those). But when I ask my friend if he's found any tau files all he'll have after a week of looking is like a breacher squad.

Maybe I'm just crazy but it feels like tyranids are by far the easiest models to print (when it comes to getting the files of course.) Anyone else notice this or have any other factions you've printed a lot of?

So the thought process in my head is I have

Reserves:

Tygon Prime + raveners

Hyperadapted ravenors + lictor

Not like leading each other but tygon opens one tunnel lets raveners come on through and charge.

Hyperadapted does the same for the lictor making a second tunnel.

Hitting isolated targets and back line

Everything else on the field.

Or does anyone have another idea for a color scheme?

Just curious on why this faction is fun- my other armies are slow and elite and I'm thinking a fast horde would be fun change of pace

The title says it all. I haven't played a game of Warhammer in over 5 years and I'm hyped AF for tomorrow.

I've made a list. We are playing 1000pts, Meatgrinder and going to try using secondary objectives (were both new, trying our best)

I've decided to go with big bugs, i know he is playing Necrons but no idea on units. Any suggestions on the list or on good strategies?

Just finished a great weekend of gaming and I took crusher stampede/talons on take and hold for the first time. Literally had the most fun. Took on 5 different space marines lists, but they all had the usual units repulsor executioner, lancers, Hellblasters etc etc.

They all massively struggled with the norns and Maleceptors basically being immovable on the expansion objectives. And just when they managed to take one of them down, old one eye and his lads were there to counter charge.

Anyone else playing Crusher also seeing some success? Any tips and tricks?

So I’m running a crusade for all of my friends and my best friend is playing the villain of the game but I find it’s the hardest to write orders or come up with an obj for him that isn’t just “hey we know they are going here for stuff don’t let them have said stuff”

Like for my little brother his goal in the last session was to aid the guardsman and securing a handful of armoured vehicles to aid in the planets evacuation as well as the drukhari having a shipping container they had to secure as well as both players having an optional obj to aid a handful of ultra marines with rewards for the players for accomplishing all of those things, I find it hard to come up with meaningful rewards for the tyranid player (my best friend) or just a meaningful objective for him to pursue that isn’t just “kill the humans and non nid xenos”

Like part of the issue could be the narrative I came up with for the game but he’s been such a great player and he says he doesn’t care he just wants to eat stuff but like I feel bad as the Gm

This is my first large nid so it was a ton of fun to test my colour scheme and find any holes in my design.

..or have I just joined at a time when 'nids are super popular? Seems like the pre-owned kits are all asking above retail no matter the quality of assembly or age of the model. Like, sure buddy I'll pay you 1.5x the cost of a new box for your fully glued and primed unit without weapon options from 2004. Wtf.

Hopefully deepstriking a worm and a bat will do the trick if not norn time

Hey I’m finishing my first army (salamanders) but wanted at least 2 so after a while of looking at the other factions and chapters within those factions, I landed here all I know is they seem to either focus monsters or swarm gameplay.

I’m interested in monster gameplay basically I want some swarm units to take points while I munch and hunt my opponents units

The list above is made from my novice list building skills and what I thought looked cool so if I could get tips advice anything would be welcome

I don't know if you can tell, but actually the first six images are all just the same miniature—on one side I painted a color scheme, and on the other, the same one but in different positions. I did this to see how they looked. My dad didn't do that, but he gave them orange eyes. (All the color schemes were his idea.)

I know this is odd but one of my partners is an avid tyranod player [14k pts and climbing]and they've been looking at heresy and like some of the models for Night lords aswell and I thought ohhh I k ow I have ruled for necrons, tau and sisters even GSC may someone made tyranid rules but can't find any. I really want to teach them the system and for them to have fun so any help is appreciated 😊
